RMIT University
Ranked number three in the world in the 2021 Times Higher Education University Impact rankings, RMIT is one of Australia’s largest and most prestigious universities.
In 2019 RMIT signed a Scientific Research Partnership Agreement with Nutri-San. Under the terms of the partnership, RMIT is engaged in conducting a series of research and commercial trials with selected commercial partners to test the efficacy of Nutri-San’s proprietary seaweed-based formulas for use in animal feed supplements.
As well as being a centre of academic excellence, RMIT is a university focused on practical impact. It has achieved standout results across the UN’s individual SDGs, ranking second for efforts to reduce inequality within and among countries (SDG 10) and third for strengthening partnerships for the goals (SDG 17).

Royal Agricultural University
With a long and prestigious heritage, The Royal Agricultural University is the UK’s premier university for Agricultural and Animal Science.
In 2020, RAU became Nutri-San’s Scientific and Research partner for the UK and Europe. Currently two projects have been initiated with RAU. The first involves a project to farm a type of seaweed known for its methane reduction properties. The second is a series of comprehensive scientific trials for Nutri-San’s formulations to validate field trial results.

University of Kent
Nutri-San signed a scientific partnership agreement with the University of Kent in 2021. Based close to Nutri-San’s operation in the U.K., the University of Kent has close ties to Europe. As well as being recognized as a centre of excellence for Research and Innovation, the University is at the forefront of civic engagement and impact and has close ties with businesses operating in the region.

Thailand Department of Livestock Development
Part of Thailand’s Ministry of Agriculture, the Department of Livestock Development is trialing a unique plant/seaweed animal supplement product. In this exciting project a mix of 20% plant (providing protein) and 80% Nutri-San seaweed blend is being trialed as a product with the potential to reduce the amount of fishmeal used in animal feed production, reducing the rate of decline in global fish stocks.

Kelpi
Kelpi (Kelp Industries Ltd) is a pioneering bio-plastics company based in the UK. Kelpi uses seaweed as a feedstock to create biodegradable marine-safe packaging that can replace single-use fossil fuel plastics. The company’s methodology to synthesise biopolymer composites from seaweed is being developed in partnership with a research team at the University of Bath, UK. In May 2021, Nutri-San and Kelpi signed a partnership agreement that represents our shared commitment to promoting sustainable alternatives that enable people and our planet to flourish.

Safe Seaweed Coalition
The Safe Seaweed Coalition (SSC) is a global partnership established to oversee the safety and sustainability of the seaweed industry as it scales up. It is supported by three major partners: The Lloyds Register Foundation, CNRS-Sorbonne University, and the UN Global Compact. In May 2021 Nutri-San was accepted by the SSC as one of the global ‘solutions’ to be featured within its members’ area as ‘making a significant contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.’

GreenSea Solutions
GreenSea Solutions harvests seaweed from its farm off the coast of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula in Scotland. The company is dedicated to demonstrating the environmental potential of farmed seaweed and works with a range of environmentally focused organisations to drive positive change.

Chiang Mai University
Nutri-San is honoured to have signed a research collaboration agreement in 2023 with Chiang Mai University’s Faculty of Agriculture / Department of Animal and Aquatic Sciences. Chaing Mai University is Thailand’s first provincial university and is committed to social responsibility for sustainable development through innovation and academic excellence.
